submission for EIPBN2009 is not yet open.
Please
submit your manuscript in either Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word
format. PDF is the preferred format. Looking for a free PDF
writer? This
is the one we use.
If
any information has changed since submitting your abstract (authors,
contacts, subject area) please make these changes on the paper
you submit here, and enter the new information into the submission
form.
Note that there is no provision for accepting paper manuscripts.
Any late manuscripts must be sent directly to the Journal
of Vacuum Science and Technology where the authors will
have to follow the JVST submission procedures. If accepted,
late papers will be published in
a later version of the journal.
Instructions
for preparing JVST manuscripts
Papers will be reviewed according to criteria set by the JVST
and must meet JVST standards for both technical content and
written English. Proceedings papers will be accepted with the
understanding that the authors intend to honor the normal page
charges of the JVST.
The size of the conference
necessitates that manuscripts considered for publication follow
length guidelines. All manuscripts are refereed to the same
standards as regular JVST submissions.
It is IMPORTANT that
the submitted manuscript has the Program (Paper) Number entered
in the top-right corner of the title page.
Length Constraints:
- Papers can contain
up to 4000 words (4 journal pages) which corresponds to a
total of 16 pages of double-spaced text, tables, figures,
references, abstract, etc.
- Each figure and
table should be on a separate page.
- Table and figure
captions should be listed on a page, NOT under the table or
figure.
- Multi-component
figures may take up more than one page (of the 16 pages allowed)
if each component cannot be reduced to 1/6 of a JVST page.
- The text should
be DOUBLE-SPACED using a 12-pitch font (the font recommended
by the editor-in-chief is "Times New Roman 12")
and pages should have one inch margins on all sides.
Manuscripts exceeding
these length requirements will be forwarded to reviewers with
a notation that the manuscript must be shortened.
Authors may include
their internet e-mail addresses along with all other footnotes
in the following format: Electronic mail: smith@foo.bar.com
***WE WILL NEED AT
LEAST 3 MATERIAL TERMS, IF APPLICABLE, FOR YOUR MANUSCRIPT.
THIS IS NEEDED FOR THE JVST MATERIALS INDEX. THESE ARE TERMS
INDICATING WHAT MATERIALS ARE DISCUSSED IN THE ARTICLE (MATERIAL
REFERS TO CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE).
For any other details
about manuscript preparation, please refer to the Information
for Contributors in the JVST.
NOTE: Your FIGURES
CAN APPEAR ONLINE IN COLOR FOR FREE. To take advantage of this
you will need to send AIP the electronic file/s of your figures
within 24 hours of receiving your Acceptance email. Again, you
do not need to send anything until you receive notice the paper
is accepted and has a 9 digit AIP number. A "Publisher's
Announcements" email with more details will be sent to
you.

FILE OF THE PAPER TO THE PROCEEDEINGS EDITOR OR BRING THE ORIGINAL
PAPER WITH YOU TO THE CONFERENCE.
