Hawaii is larger than the other Hawaiian islands combined and is called “The Big Island”. It is also the youngest of the Hawaiian islands and, by virtue of having an active volcano, is still growing every day.

The Big Island has wide diversity of climates ranging from dry and arid, to rain forest, to snow capped mountains. Each of these is accessible for exploration by visitors. A short list of activities includes, beaches, surfing, snorkeling, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, and hiking. The Big Island also grows what many believe is the worlds best coffee in the Kona area.

There is an observatory at the top of Mauna Kea which can be toured. Of course, there is also an active volcano to explore. The Hilton Waikoloa Village has a great overview of the island and its attractions that can be found by clicking here.
