Andrew C. Madison is an electrical engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He received a dual B.S. degree in Chemistry and Biology and a M.S. degree in Engineering Physics, both from Appalachian State University. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University. At NIST, he develops fabrication and measurement methods for optical and nanofluidic devices that aim to address a variety of scientific challenges, ranging from the calibration of optical microscopes for super-resolution microscopy to multimodal characterization of colloidal nanoparticles.
