Monika Fleischer received her PhD in physics from Eberhard Karls University Tübingen in Germany. After an invited professorship at the University of Technology of Troyes, she joined the Institute for Applied Physics in Tübingen as a junior professor and was appointed full professor in 2019. She additionally serves on the board of directors of the Center for Light-Matter-Interaction, Sensors and Analytics LISA+. Her research interests focus on plasmonic nanostructures, nanofabrication techniques, optical spectroscopy, and the optical properties of hybrid nanosystems.
