Student Support
EIPBN strongly encourages student attendance. This year we will provide both financial support and special program elements for student attendees.
Limited funds are available to students for financial support.
Students who wish to apply for financial support must meet the following criteria.
- They must have an accepted oral presentation or poster at the conference.
- They must book their room using the EIPBN web site and stay at the conference hotel.
To apply for financial support, submit the following to the Conference Chair.
- A letter written by the student’s advisor requesting financial support.
- A three-page abstract with one additional page for figures that provides a detailed description of the results that will be presented at the conference.
The three-page abstract and request for support letter must be submitted together no later than Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The abstracts are for EIPBN use only.
Financial assistance is limited to room nights spent at the conference hotel, paid directly to the hotel, up to $500 per student award.
All students get a special registration discount and are invited to attend many functions focused on professional networking.
Student Travel Awards
The National Science Foundation offers Travel Awards to students eager to attend the Emerging Memory Infrastructure Workshop. These awards aim to enhance students’ comprehension of their field through exposure to expert presentations and in-depth technical discussions. Additionally, the workshop presents valuable networking opportunities and interactions.
Students interested in applying for the Travel Awards should email a cover letter and an advisor’s endorsement letter to Prof. Linda Katehi-Tseregounis. Funds are limited, please apply as soon as possible.
Please note that this Travel Award is different from the Student Support from the EIPBN conference chair. A student can only apply for ONE of these awards.
