EIPBN Early Career Award

Award Description
The EIPBN Early Career Award recognizes outstanding researchers who are in the early stages of their career for technical contributions to nanofabrication technology and service to the EIPBN community. The award shall consist of a plaque and a cash award of USD $1,000. The recipient of the award will also be invited to give the annual EIPBN Early Career Award Lecture. The nominations for 2024 are due March 18, 2024.
Eligibility
Nominees for the EIPBN Early Career Award must satisfy the following criteria:
- Have made significant advances to nanofabrication technology and presented that work at one or more EIPBN meetings.
- Have received their terminal degrees less than 10 years prior to the year under consideration.
- Be in a full-time appointment in academia, government laboratory, or industry.
Nomination Procedure
Applications to the award should include:
- A one-page application form including the name and affiliation of the candidate, the number of years in current position, the year terminal degree was received, and contact information for two references who are active at EIPBN.
- A one-page description of noteworthy contributions and future vision to nanofabrication technology and service to EIPBN.
- Current CV.
- Two letters of support from active EIPBN participants (program, advisory, committee members, etc.).
Please submit by email a single PDF including the application form, description of contribution, and CV to the EIPBN Conference Chair at cc24@eipbn.org. The applicant should also arrange to have the reference letters sent to the Conference Chair before the deadline.
Award Administration
The applications will be reviewed by the EIPBN Steering Committee on the following criteria: 1) Novelty of technical contributions, 2) Impact of research, and 3) service to EIPBN community. The EIPBN Early Career Award recipient will be announced two weeks before the conference and be recognized at the annual conference banquet.
