26 Glacier Cruise
Saturday, June 5, 2010
As part of our special arrangements for the 2010 3-Beams conference, Phillips Cruises is offering a specially priced day trip from Anchorage for attendees of EIPBN 2010 on Saturday, June 5, 2010. Buses will pick us up at the Hilton Anchorage 10:30am in the morning, and will take us through the Whittier Tunnel to the shore of Prince William Sound. There, we will climb aboard the Klondike Express and tour the 26 glaciers that flow into the upper reaches of Prince William Sound. Not only will we see glaciers, but in the water, it’s very common to see sea otters, seals, porpoises, sea lions and both humpback and orca whales. You may also spot bear, mountain goats and bald eagles on the shore. For an online photo tour, click here.
You may reserve space and your cruise ticket online at http://www.26glaciers.com/res/startBooking.aspx . Enter 6-5-2010 as the date in step 1, then enter your information at Step 2 and click on Coupon/Discount Code in the lower left corner. Type in the discount code 3BEAMS and press Submit. Once you do this, you can now select a special Convention Rate fare at a 20% discount to book your cruise ticket.
Or, if you’re having trouble with your browser, simply call Phillips Cruises at 800-544-0529 and ask for the EIPBN Conference fare when you make your reservation.
The tour typically arrives back in Whittier by 6:15 pm, and the bus is expected back in Anchorage by 8:30 pm.
Note: The ticket price and EIPBN discount only apply to the ticket for the cruise itself.
For transportation to and from Whittier, you can:
Drive yourself (but plan for delays at the Whittier Tunnel);
Take the Bus (pickup will be arranged for EIPBN from the Hilton) for $50.00 round trip;
Take the Alaska Railroad ( http://www.akrr.com ) for $80.00 round trip.
We hope you will be able to stay for the extra afternoon to see the amazing sights of Prince William Sound with your 3-Beams colleagues.
