Share your technological innovation, no matter how early the stage.
The EIPBN 2022 Startup Contest is designed to support entrepreneurs, students, research staff, and faculty transition early-stage technologies into scalable ventures. The contest is the most visible way to present an innovation related to our founding topics of electron, ion and photon beam technology as well as micro-/nano-fabricated devices enabled by these patterning or novel nanomanufacturing techniques.
This contest is ideal for any venture developing a technology that is related to any of the topics in the technical scope. The contest encourages participation from all ventures incorporating new technical findings from any of EIPBN’s fields of scientific interest. Entry is open to startups at any stage of development – from early ideation to technology validation and growth. This contest aims to support the transition of technology and ideas from the lab into a scalable venture.
Whether developing a business case, growing an advisory board, or expanding a pertinent network, EIPBN 2022 is the ideal venue to discuss growing your venture with seasoned scientists and engineers from academia, government and industry.
Entry is open to all attendees of EIPBN 2022. Click here for additional information about the Startup Contest. To enter the contest, please download and submit the EIPBN 2022 Startup Contest Application.
Application Submission deadline is Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case by case basis.
Accepted startups will be notified well in advance of the conference and invited to present a poster to the EIPBN community and panel of judges at the conference. Poster presentation guidelines will be provided to accepted startups.
Please note that the representatives for startups participating in the contest will need to register for the conference and attend the EIPBN Startup Contest’s poster presentation.

Startups at the Poster Sessions
Join us at the EIPBN 2022 Poster Sessions to view poster presentations from the current Startup Contest finalists as well as previous Startup Contest winners.
Former Startup Contest participants are cordially invited to present their state of business in the Startup Poster Session at EIPBN 2022. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please submit your poster via email to Nick Petrone and Regina Luttge by May 10th following EIPBN poster guidelines.
