FabuBlox Process Design Contest
2026 Inaugural FabuBlox Process Design Competition Winner
Nayoung Kim (The University of Texas at Austin) for their process flow describing fabrication of a “Waveguide on Nanolattice.”
Thank you to all who entered.
All EIPBN attendees are eligible to participate!
Introducing the inaugural FabuBlox Process Design Contest. FabuBlox is a state-of-the-art design & data management tool for micro & nano fabrication processes. If your abstract is accepted and you have a FabuBlox process, join our group to share it with this year’s attendees. Enter the contest by filling out the form and become eligible to win up to a $250 cash prize announced at the banquet with the micrograph contest! Your process will be judged on the following criteria:
- Impact of fabricated devices
- Difficulty (pushing resolution limits, fabrication techniques used, etc)
- Complexity of process flow/fabricated devices
- Completeness of documentation including metrology images and data
- Creativity in problem solving (e.g. use of novel techniques, workarounds for traditional limitations
Why participate?
- Improve your poster / oral presentation: Stop spending hours manually drawing layer stack figures and process flow diagrams for posters and presentations. FabuBlox lets you generate highly-accurate, exportable layer stack emulations directly from your process flow.
- Promote your research to a growing global community of over 3,000 researchers and engineers across 20+ countries by sharing your process flow to the new public EIPBN FabuBlox group with references to your published work.
- Help strengthen scientific discourse, collaboration, and reproducibility in nanofabrication by making process knowledge easier to communicate, discuss, and learn from.
- And of course — enter for a chance to win the $250 Grand Prize at the conference banquet!
