Airport and Transportation

Airport

Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) for Scottsdale. Located just 7 miles (about 15-20 minutes) west of downtown Scottsdale, it is the most convenient and closest major hub for commercial flights.

Transportation from the Phoenix International Airport

The Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley is a 20 minute drive (15 miles) from the airport.

Most taxicab companies charge a flat rate of approximately $40 for travel from the airport to the Scottsdale Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley.

Public Transportation from Airport

From Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, visitors can reach the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley – Scottsdale using Valley Metro public transportation.

  1. From the airport, take the free PHX Sky Train to 44th Street/Washington Station.
  2. Board the Valley Metro Light Rail heading east toward Mesa and travel to the Priest Drive/Washington station.
  3. Transfer to Valley Metro Bus Route 72 northbound (Scottsdale Road).
  4. Stay on Route 72 for approximately 45–50 minutes and exit near Scottsdale Road and Chaparral Road.
  5. Walk approximately 0.3 miles (5–10 minutes) north to the hotel at 5401 N. Scottsdale Road. The resort is located about 12 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Estimated travel time: 60–75 minutes, depending on connections and time of day. Estimated fare: $2 for a single ride or $4 for a 1-day Valley Metro pass.

Affordable daily and multi-day passes are available, and riders can use the Valley Metro website or mobile app to plan trips, view schedules, and track buses in real time.
