Preparing Your JVST Manuscripts
Papers presented at EIPBN 2024 shall be submitted for publication in a Special Collection within the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology B (JVST B). Deadline for manuscript submission to JVST B is Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Papers will be peer reviewed and must meet JVST standards for technical content. Manuscripts must be written in English. All manuscripts are reviewed to the same standards as regular JVST submissions.
No Page Charges: AVS Journals do not require page charges. AVS also offers free membership for one year to the corresponding author on accepted JVST papers. The membership includes journal access.
Submit your manuscripts to JVST B using the journal’s online manuscript submission system at the JVST Peer X-Press site: https://pubs.aip.org/avs/jvb/pages/manuscript. Authors should select “Article” as the type of paper within the conference special collection (not Letter, Note, etc.). It is very IMPORTANT that authors indicate to which collection the paper is submitted. You will have an opportunity online to tell us that your paper is a part of this Special Collection by choosing this year’s EIPBN Collection from the drop-down list in the Manuscript Classification tab.
Authors are encouraged to consult the information about manuscript preparation and article templates at http://avs.scitation.org/jvb/authors/manuscript when preparing your manuscripts. Authors should follow the instructions for contributors on the Information for Contributors tab. Authors are encouraged to use the JVST article templates.
Please note that acceptance to present at the EIPBN conference does not guarantee the acceptance of your manuscript in JVST B. To be published in JVST B, manuscripts must meet the following criteria.
- Results, conclusions, and analysis must be original and not previously published by the authors or others.
- Conclusions must be supported by data and analysis.
- The material should be within the scope of the JVST B and have a high impact on the field represented.
- Manuscripts must well written and free of errors and ambiguities.
For the initial submission/review process, a PDF, MS Word or LaTex file including all illustrations is sufficient. Once a manuscript is accepted; all illustrations including tables, photographs, charts, and graphs; the list of figure captions, and all the separate illustration files will be required to be submitted in MS Word or LaTeX format for final production. Use of color in figures is encouraged. Your figures can appear online in COLOR for FREE. All illustrations must be submitted in the final published size.
Please observe the Wednesday, July 31, 2024, deadline to allow for timely processing. Manuscripts submitted after this deadline will be considered on a case-by case basis and may not be accepted for publication.
