Short Courses

This year’s popular short courses provide tutorials on a range of topics, from beginning concepts to more in-depth applications, delivered by experts in the field. This year’s short courses will be held on Tuesday, May 28, in Nicolett D, with a continental breakfast starting at 7:30 am. There will be five topics covered running until 3:15 pm.

Best Journal Paper Award

Thanks to AVS Topical Conference Sponsorship and the Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology B (JVST B), EIPBN 2019 will establish an EIPBN – JVST B best journal paper award.

This award consists of a check for $300 each made payable to the first and corresponding authors with copies of certificates (for each and every author) that will read “Presented to “the names of the authors” for an exceptional article, “Title”, contributed to the 2019 EIPBN Collection and Published in JVST B.” The paper that wins the best-paper award will be made freely available (or freely accessible) for a period of 2 years and widely promoted via email and on social and professional networks. The total value of the award is $600. Please submit your manuscript by the submission deadline of July 11, 2019.

Mentor Lunch

We are pleased to have Dr. Lisa Brown and Dr. John Notte speak at this year’s Mentor Lunch.

Dr. Brown is a Senior Research Scientist at 3M and Dr. Notte is the Chief Scientist for Business Development at Carl Zeiss.
